I would like to find out more about the Maroons

I would like to visit Maroon Town and find out more about the culture and history.
I live in london my great grandmother was from the Maroons and had a African name. She lived to over 109
And was all be during slavery. When my father was growing up before WW2 she would tell his generation stories of what it was like. Do you know if Maroon town has historians doing studies on Maroon history? Or has
forums or email to arrange such matters?

Hi Solomon - many scholars and historians have done studies on the Maroons. While you can find a lot of this material online, nothing quite beats a visit to one of the Maroon towns.
